L400

In 2013, following Sedef Shipyard's winning of the LHD (Landing Helicopter Dock-Amphibious Helicopter Ship) class ship tender, the construction of the TCG ANADOLU (L-400) ship commenced in 2016. The ship joined the inventory of the Turkish Naval Forces on April 10, 2023. TCG ANADOLU serves as a command center and the flagship for the Turkish Naval Forces, meeting various needs and requirements of the Turkish Armed Forces, such as prolonged combat, long-distance military operations, or humanitarian aid operations.

TCG ANADOLU, the largest ship of the Turkish Naval Forces, measures 231 meters in length, 32 meters in width, and 58 meters in height. The 27,436-ton ship, capable of intercontinental missions, has a maximum speed of 20.5 knots when fully loaded. The entire 5,440 square meter flight deck coating of TCG ANADOLU has been developed and produced by DURATEK, localized in collaboration with the Gölcük Naval Shipyard, featuring a non-slip coating that facilitates the safe landing and takeoff of helicopters, UAVs, and UCAVs. The coating consists of an Epoxy-Based Primer, Non-Slip Helicopter Deck Floor Coating, and Polyurethane Marking Paint, meeting all requirements of the MIL PRF 24667 C specification and the 202-0000-6820-004-000-0 numbered Ship Helicopter Platform Non-Slip Paint System Technical Specification. It also has a NATO stock number for use on all NATO ships. DURATEK signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement with the General Directorate of Shipyards in 2021.

The application of the deck coating on the TCG ANADOLU ship was performed by the HELIPLAT company.

Another product system provided by DURATEK to the TCG ANADOLU ship is the PRC coating system. The ship's total 3,800 square meters of living quarters are covered with DURATEK's PRC system, compliant with the technical specification for Resin-Based Protective Floor Coating Materials. The coating system, consisting of Solvent-Free Epoxy Primer, Epoxy-Based Leveling Putty, Polyurethane Main Coat, and Polyurethane Varnish, was also localized in collaboration with the Gölcük Naval Shipyard. The coating features fire retardancy and emits low-density, non-toxic smoke in the event of a fire. It holds a Türk Loydu certificate. The PRC coating system produced by DURATEK for ships of the Turkish Navy and Coast Guard, meeting NATO standards and having a NATO stock number, can also be used on NATO ships, as well as on civilian passenger and trade vessels.
